Preserving Photographs | FAQ | About Suby Paper Co.
Photos should be stored in a cool, dry place. Ideally it should be no warmer than 70 degrees farenheit. Humidity and high temperatures cause deterioration. You should never store
photos in the attic or basement due to extreme changes in temperature from season to season. Photos stick to each other
and other items when the humidity is too high. With this in mind, a bedroom closet is probably the safest place to store photographs.
Also watch out for other items that threaten the safety of your keepsakes such as heating ducts and pipes.
